About WAAT Dogs

Our Purpose

WAAT Dogs is a not for profit organisation. We providing specialist assistance and therapy dog training service in order to support and improve the lives of people with disability or health conditions in Western Australia.

WAAT Dogs aims to be an Assistance Dog training organisation with a difference.

WAAT Dogs was started by people with lived experience and continues to have Assistance Dog handlers influence organisational decisions.  WAAT Dogs also aims to support the handler.  Where there are trainers who are excellent at training a dog to be an Assistance Dog, WAAT Dogs aims to also support the handler.  We have therapists and our trainers undergo training to better support the handlers.
